Plumbing Fitoff done!

The fit off plumbers have returned to complete the fit off of taps and basins. Over the last week or so there have been a couple of visits to complete the various plumbing tasks. They still haven't completed the taps in the master ensuite because there was an alignment issue that was fixed. All of the toilets, basins, sinks and external taps have been plumbed and are now operational.
Our Selections

Hot Water:
  • Rinnai Infinity 32 Hot water with Solar and 175LT storage (upgrade)
We decided to upgrade the hot water system from a Rinnai 26 to avoid any possibility of not having enough hot water supply capacity if several hot taps are turned on at once. I know the Rinnai 26 is a continuous hot water system but I wanted to make sure the supply of continuous hot water during high demand time would cope OK. So, we upgraded.

Kitchen/Galley/Laundry
  • AFA Cubeline Undermount Sink (Promo)
  • Teknobil Sink Mixer with pullout vegie sprayer (Promo)
  • Fridge Water outlet (upgrade)
  • Mizu Round Sink and Mixer (Galley Promo)
  • Stainless Insert Sink & Bristol MK2 Mixer (Laundry Promo)
  • Internal cabinet water outlet (Laundry Promo)
Alfresco::
  • Hot/Cold/Gas/Waste Points
We added additional water, gas and waste discharge point to the wall beside the alfresco for future outdoor kitchen. It was relatively inexpensive in comparison to install post handover. It was approximately $750 for all 4 points that would have cost easily double or triple that after handover.

Master Ensuite:
  • 2x Nikles Fresh Twin Shower Rail with over head round rose (1x Upgrade 1x part Promo)
  • Base MK2 wall mixer (standard)
  • Mizu Drift Bath Gooseneck (upgrade)
  • 2x Acacia Under Counter Basin & Mizu Bliss wall mixer (upgrade)
  • The rest were selected from the standard range
Bathroom:

We opted for the 'Jack & Jill' bathroom option instead of 2 ensuites. Our children are still young so we though a joined bathroom would be a good choice. As part of this changed not only did we save about $500 but it was now a bathroom and fell into the Promo category. That helped out with stone benches and better tapware choices.

  • 1x Posh Bristol Shower Rail (upgrade)
  • Base MK2 Wall Mixer (standard)
  • 2x Mizu Drift semi inset round basin (part promo)
  • 2x Mizu Bliss Chrome Extended Mixer (part promo)
  • Base Posh 1760mm extended bath (upgrade from 1560mm)
Ensuite:

  • 1x Posh Bristol Shower Rail (upgrade)
  • Base MK2 Wall Mixer (standard)
  • 2x Mizu Drift semi inset round basin (upgrade)
  • 2x Mizu Bliss Chrome Extended Mixer (upgrade)
Powder room:

  • Porcher Vallo Round Counter Basin
  • Mizu Bliss Chrome Entended Mixer
**We had to change from Porcher Vallo but I can't remember or find the name of the current selection.

We also arranged for Porter Davis to install towel rails, hooks and toilet roll holders. We chose this because for the price they also install noggins inside the wall during construction. Rather than our towel rails simply attached to the plaster and hoping it doesn't get knocked loose or come loose through use, we have nice firmly attached towel rails and accessories that will last a long time. The cost is only marginally more than buying them my self too and much more convenient.

  • Mizu Drift Toilet roll holders
  • Mizu Drift Double Towel Rails - 600mm
  • Mizu Drift Double Towel Rails - 700mm
  • Mizu Drift Square Hand Towel Ring
I think that pretty much cover it for bathroom selections. See images below...
