Kitchen and Bathroom Cabinets Arrived!

As the title says the kitchen and bathroom cabinets arrived yesterday 9/5/2017 and then today they were installed. Most of out benchtops are stone so they are completed later on. Now that the cabinets are in they can accurately measure the bench spaces and make the benchtops to suit. It is really good to see the spaces coming together as our home.

As I guess a lot of families do, we spend a lot of time
in our kitchen area when at home as a family, when with extended family or friends come over. We tend to gather in the kitchen and talk whilst eating. We fell in love with the kitchen in the display home and wanted to match it but with less of a green tone that the display had. We have selected all of the same features, finishes, layout and options in the display. There are quite a few changes from the base plan but we had a fair bit included as part of our promotions. In all our Kitchen and Galley upgrades are just under $10,000.00 but would have been much more without the promos that were included. Some of the changes or upgrades were offset by promos and inclusions so cost almost nothing to include.

Here is a basic list of thing we changed in the kitchen but not including promotional items.

• Straight through layout instead of 'L' shape
• Colourtech gloss in Moleskin Colour
• 80mm Silestone bench top to Island (in lieu of promo waterfall) in Rogui colour
• Additional stack of drawers either side of the oven
• Decorative molded panels to island bench
• Under cabinet downlights to wall cabinets

In the galley we have added a underbench microwave space with drawer and underbench fridge space. Both of these required electrical to be included in the electrical plan. The galley has also been upgraded with Colourtech gloss doors. The galley colours match the kitchen.

Our promos and prestige build specs also included:

• Soft close drawers and doors
• Silestone bench tops to kitchen and galley
• Tiled splashbacks
• Dishwasher space and semi integrated dishwasher
• Undermount sink
• Tecnobilli vegie sprayer
• Spice rack, cutlery tray, cooking tray rack, double bin cupboard
• Galley entertainers sink and tapware (Round - can be used as an ice bin to cool drinks)
• and probably others but you get the idea.

Our bathrooms are fairly straight forward and mostly promotional upgrades. We have selected Licorice Linea colour for doors and cabinets with Silestone Rogui 20mm bench tops. We also selected bathroom option which makes a larger bathroom out of 2 bedroom ensuites. Doing this you get a larger cabinet with a set of drawers and a bath which we have upgraded to longer 1760mm option at the suggestion of our tender presenter. The bath is also a freestanding model as part of the promotions. Selecting bathroom option is about $500 cheaper than the base pricing.

They have also installed our custom theatre cabinet. I requested pricing for a theatre cabinet through Kitchen Culture at our selections appointment. To my surprise the price came back at a tad over $2100 so we went ahead with it. It would probably cost us something around that to buy a entertainment cabinet and this way it's built in and always neat and tidy from day 1.
