External Tiles Installed.

Late last week the external tiles were layed. The external area where tiles go are just the standard areas - front Balcony and rear Terrace, When going through the colour selections at World of Style you get the option to add tiling to the other outdoor areas if you would like too.
Initially we had upgraded the outdoor tiles spec and also added the Porch and Alfresco. We had selected a nice outdoor tile but as we progressed through the pricing part we ended up just going with the standard areas and selected from the standard range of tiles. We didn't feel that the upgrade cost represented very good value for money. All we were going to get was a larger 600 x 300 tile with a similar colour to that of the standard selection for a few thousand dollars. We used that upgrade cost in other areas instead.

Our colour selection for these tiles is: Simplicity Grey 300mm X 300mm

One issue with this part was that the bricky initially left a drainage slot in the brickwork to allow for rain water to drain from the balcony. Sometime along the way of the bricks being finished a bricky must have bricked up the drainage slots. They removed the bricks to make the drainage slot but there work is a bit messy and there is exposed mortar below the brick where it shouldn't be. Viewing the drainage slot from below it is also noticeable that they have had to do some remedial work on the drainage slot. I'll get them to tidy it up during the PCI which should be coming up soon.

Not much in the way of photos for this post.
