Plaster - Wow that was quick!

Plaster was installed in our house over the last couple of days. I am absolutely amazed at how quickly the plaster was hung on the walls and ceiling. It was started on Thursday 20th April and by the end of the day they had hung almost all of the plaster. All that was left to do on the Friday was a few small sections beside doors and odd places that required finishing and then the cleaning up. They do make a fair amount of mess but that's expected with the work they are doing and they had
cleaned up by about midday Friday. Our site supervisor did tell me that they usually take about a day or so to finish the plaster and I had assumed that was a best case scenario not an always scenario. The plaster install does not included cornices and filling of joints, screws and other finishing work.

There is one little problem here and that is that they didn't install Soundcheck plaster to the theatre as noted on our specs. Our site supervisor is going to get that sorted by either removing the plaster and replacing with soundcheck or possibly putting another layer of regular plaster over the existing plaster which will give it a better sound proofing rating than a single layer of soundcheck.
