Render is... Nearly done!

Our brickwork has been a lengthy process so it was good to see the render applied to the bricks. The renderers came by a few weeks ago and did the first coat of render getting it ready for the final colour coating.

They came by on the weekend a couple of days ago and finished the render top coat. The colour we have chosen for the top coat is called Mudpack. Again this colour is the same as the display and located on the house in the same locations. The render is on the pillars with the standard design Hyde Park façade option as opposed to what we have. We chose to change it to match the display home with the render on the main building façade walls and the pillar mouldings. There was an upgrade cost of several thousand dollars to do it this way.

Our bricks are lighter than the display home bricks so we were a bit concerned that the colours would work together and we are happy seeing that they have worked well together. There are still other areas of render to be finished once the garage brickwork has been done. So far it's looking good.
